As you can tell, Japanese cuisine is something I’m skewed towards. If you were to ask me which meal I would choose to eat for the rest of my life, Sushi is usually the first thing that comes time mind. So when a co-worker suggested Sushi on Jones for lunch when I was having a rough day, I didn’t even bat an eyelash.
The highly destined 30 minute Omakase sits pleasantly on the corner of Jones and Bowery accommodating only 7 people at a time. The makeshift container restaurant in the Bowery Market is great to get your traditional Sushi fix with no wait. Can’t leave the office? They even deliver via trycaviar.com!
We were instructed to come early since they only hold the spot for less than 5 min. This is something you don’t want to miss. For $58 you are coursed with 11 different pieces of Sushi. From Arctic Char Salmon to Wagyu Beef, I was in absolute Sushi bliss. Some pieces charred to others topped with fragrant yuzu, I felt like I was dining at a Michelin restaurant.
So whether you are craving a good cut of Sushi, or just want to “Treat yo self” Sushi on Jones is the place to be. Thus, I highly encourage to plan ahead and reserve your seats, you will not regret it.
